So, it has been more than a month since my last blog post.  The move, and ensuing craziness has taken its toll.  Some updates to catch you up:

I finally broke down and joined FaceBook.  I’m likely going to shutdown my MySpace account soon.  I’m not fond of the constant barrage of advertisements, and spam that seem to filter into my account there, and frankly, I think most of my active friends have moved to FaceBook anyway.

I have also gotten an iPhone.  I got it right before the push to the new 3GS, of course.  It doesn’t really matter though, I love the new phone and have filled it up with crap I really don’t need.  I probably only use maybe 5 apps out of the 30 or 40 I have downloaded.  I don’t have text messaging as an option, and frankly, I’m not sure I need it.  I have email and don’t see the difference really.

I have once again joined the Boy Scouts.  My Godson was interested, and that gave me the perfect excuse to get involved again.  We have joined Troop 777 out of Richardson Tx, and I am looking forward to the next few years.

Kristina seems to be enjoying school, and having a fun time.  She is learning a lot, and has improved her writing skills by leaps and bounds.  Her only complaint is that they read baby books in her class.  She is already flying through chapter books, and she says the books at school are like “The dog runs” <page flip> “The girl is happy”… poor kid.

Work is going well.  I am really enjoying it here at RealPage.  The group I’m attached too is very supportive, and I have managed to even make a friend or two here.  I’m actually programming again!  Unlike the last job I had at which programming was considered anything involving the keyboard, this is actual code work.  It is very challenging here, and I’m loving it!  I also feel more secure here.  They company seems to be weathering the recession well, and there is plenty of work to be done.

Living space… well, I guess it can’t all be good news.  The apartment is very nice, and clean… but the fact is it is still an apartment.  No yard for me to poke around in, and the neighbors can still be heard through the wall from time to time.

I have finished a few more books, and even managed to pick up a few new ones to read through.  I have started on the series that the TV Series Bones is based on, and it seems interesting so far.  I’m also reading a book based on the series Castle… I’m not sure if I would consider this book real literature so much as a TV stunt that is kind of funny.

Well, I think that should about catch you up on how I’m doing… I’ll get back to rants and so forth soon… I hope.
